Fashion Department Manager – Dundrum, Dublin
Excel Recruitment is seeking an experienced Fashion Department Manager to join a leading retail business in Dundrum, Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished fashion retail manager who is passionate about product, people and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
We are looking for a strong commercial leader who can take ownership of a busy fashion department, inspire a large team and drive performance in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment. You will be highly visible on the shop floor, leading from the front and ensuring your department delivers across sales, service, visual standards and team performance.

Responsibilities of this Fashion Department Manager role
- Take ownership of the day-to-day performance of a busy fashion department
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing retail team
- Drive sales, productivity and KPI performance through strong commercial leadership
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience across the department
- Maintain excellent visual merchandising, presentation and product standards
- Use commercial insight to identify opportunities to maximise sales and department performance
- Recruit, coach and develop talent while building a strong succession pipeline
- Manage performance, attendance and colleague engagement effectively
- Ensure excellent operational standards are consistently maintained
- Work closely with the wider store management team to deliver overall store objectives
- Create a positive, inclusive and high-performing team culture
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ management experience within fashion retail
- Experience managing a busy department, store or significant retail team
- Strong commercial awareness with a proven track record of driving sales and KPIs
- Excellent people management skills with the ability to coach, motivate and develop teams
- Strong understanding of visual merchandising and fashion retail standards
- Passion for fashion, product and delivering an outstanding customer experience
- Confident decision-maker with excellent communication and organisational skills
- Hands-on leadership style and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
