Duty Manager – Clonmel, Co. Tipperary

Excel Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join a busy and well-established grocery retailer in Clonmel.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Duty Manager, Team Leader or Supervisor who enjoys being hands-on and is looking to progress within grocery retail management.

Salary: €36,000 – €38,000

The Role:

• Support senior management with the day-to-day running of the store
• Lead and motivate the team throughout each shift
• Take responsibility for opening and closing the store
• Delegate duties and ensure strong standards are maintained across the shop floor
• Support with orders, deliveries, stock control and merchandising
• Assist with staff rosters, training and development
• Manage cash procedures and end-of-day duties
• Ensure promotions and displays are implemented correctly
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve issues when required

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous Duty Manager, Team Leader or supervisory experience within grocery, convenience or high-volume retail
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Experience with stock, orders, cash and store operations
• Confident opening and closing a busy retail store
• Commercially aware with excellent attention to store standards
• Hands-on, organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Ambitious and keen to progress within grocery retail
