Deli Manager – Limerick City Centre

Excel Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Deli Manager to join a busy and well-established grocery retailer in Limerick City Centre.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Deli Manager, Fresh Food Manager or experienced Deli Supervisor who is passionate about fresh food, enjoys leading a team and wants to take ownership of a busy deli operation.

Salary: €35,000 – €38,000

The Role:

• Manage the day-to-day running of the deli department
• Lead, train and motivate the fresh food team
• Prepare staff rosters and organise daily workloads
• Manage ordering, stock levels and product availability
• Monitor waste and control costs across the department
• Ensure excellent standards of food quality, presentation and service
• Maintain strong HACCP, food safety and hygiene standards
• Drive sales and support the overall performance of the deli
• Ensure promotions and displays are implemented effectively
• Deliver consistently high standards of customer service

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous Deli Manager, Fresh Food Manager or supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety
• Experience leading and developing a fresh food team
• Confident managing orders, rosters, stock and waste
• Commercially aware and able to drive department performance
• Hands-on, organised and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Passionate about fresh food and maintaining high standards
