Deli Manager – Bray, Co. Wicklow

Excel Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Deli Manager to join a busy and well-established grocery retailer in Bray.

This is a great opportunity for a passionate fresh food professional who enjoys leading a team, maintaining excellent food standards and taking full ownership of a busy deli department.

Salary: €35,000 – €38,000

The Role:

• Manage the day-to-day running of the deli department
• Lead, train and motivate the fresh food team
• Prepare staff rosters and organise daily workloads
• Manage ordering, stock levels, availability and waste
• Ensure excellent standards of food quality and presentation
• Maintain strong HACCP, food safety and hygiene standards
• Drive sales and support the overall performance of the department
• Monitor margins, stock and department costs
• Ensure promotions and displays are implemented effectively
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a strong fresh food offering

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous Deli Manager, Fresh Food Manager or senior deli supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety
• Experience managing and developing a team
• Confident with orders, rosters, stock and waste control
• Commercially aware with a strong understanding of fresh food retail
• Hands-on, organised and comfortable in a busy environment
• Passionate about fresh food and maintaining high standards
