Business Development Manager

Excel Recruitment is delighted to announce we are seeking a Retail Business Development Manager for our Client. Our client is a well-respected and successful retail group in Ireland and is looking to expand. As a Business Development Manager for our client who is a large successful retail group across Ireland, you will be responsible for managing and expanding their retail business across the country. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career!

Who you are as a Business Development Manager:

  • Experience working within a franchise model or FMCG Business
  • Demonstrated sales success over that period, chasing leads and closing leads
  • You will have good commercial acumen and an exemplary track record of successful sales
  • You will enjoy being part of a successful team but will thrive on your competitive ability to be the best and use your initiative to solve problems and grow the business
  • You will have a good understanding of the structure of the Retail Industry and the process of gaining contracts, if no experience in Retail, relevant experience in recruiting franchisees into a franchise
  • You will have experience and the ability to communicate at all levels effectively and be comfortable presenting to small and large groups of people
  • You will have excellent planning and organisational skills and be analytical and computer-literate
  • Strong knowledge of different legal requirements across new business opportunities
  • Ability to travel throughout Ireland

Key responsibilities as a Development Manager

  • Responsible for driving Store sales growth
  • Develop strong capture plans and winning strategies for targeted stores
  • Develop strong relationships with customers
  • Track new business development opportunities, utilising market knowledge and market intelligence to identify new customers
  • Establishing a framework for pipeline management (expectations, processes, reporting/KPI’s, etc.)
