Baker Assistant – Supermarket – Dublin

Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting a Baker Assistant for our client’s busy supermarket in Dublin. This is a great opportunity for someone with an interest in baking and fresh food to join an established retail team, supporting the daily bakery operation and helping to deliver high-quality products for customers.

Salary: €15 – €16 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation, baking, and finishing of a variety of breads, pastries, and other bakery products
• Support the Baker with daily production to ensure products are fresh and available throughout the day
• Ensure all bakery products are prepared and presented to a consistently high standard
• Monitor stock levels and assist with the rotation and replenishment of bakery products
• Help minimise waste and follow correct stock control procedures
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe bakery work area
• Ensure full compliance with HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards
• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with bakery products when required
• Work closely with the wider fresh food and store teams to ensure smooth daily operations

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a bakery, fresh food, deli, or food production environment is desirable
• An interest in baking and a willingness to learn and develop bakery skills
• Basic knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures is an advantage
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and presentation
• Reliable, organised, and comfortable working to daily production schedules
• Flexibility to work early mornings and weekends when required
