Assistant Manager

Excel Recruitment is delighted to announce that we are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our client, a thriving convenience retailer in Laois.

Salary: €35K-€40K

As the Assistant Manager, you will help develop an amazing team, drive sales, achieve KPIs and bring excellent customer service skills to the role. If you are an experienced retailer looking for a new challenge with an amazing company and have a passion for food this is the perfect role for you.

Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day running of the store alongside the Store Manager
• To achieve sales targets and KPIs set by HO
• Ensuring the team are effective, organised and achieving success within their departments
• Motivating your staff, ensuring they are properly trained to deliver the highest of standards throughout the store, regarding food safety, cleanliness, visual display, and customer service
• Using your team to constantly innovate in your product offering, using merchandising skills to up-sell and looking at new ways to bring in new streams of revenue
• Maintaining a strong brand image, by being a solid mentor, and leading by example within your role as Assistant Manager

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a Store Manager, Grocery Department Manager or Assistant Manager
• Ability to manage people and delegate
• Excellent knowledge of the fresh and deli departments
• Ability to lead and motivate a team
• Flexible, strong work ethic, passionate about food and highly focused on customer service in everything that you do
• Cash handling experience
