Assistant Manager – Maynooth

Excel Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join a busy and well-established grocery retailer in Maynooth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong retail manager looking to take on more responsibility within a fast-paced store and continue progressing their management career.

Salary: €40,000 – €45,000 DOE

The Role:

• Support the Store Manager with the day-to-day running of the store
• Lead, motivate and develop the store team
• Manage stock levels, merchandising and availability
• Assist with ordering, rosters and staff training
• Oversee opening and closing procedures
• Maintain excellent customer service and store standards
• Ensure company procedures, food safety and health & safety standards are followed
• Take full responsibility for the store in the Store Manager’s absence

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous Assistant Manager, Duty Manager or senior supervisory experience
• Grocery or convenience retail experience highly desirable
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Commercially aware with a hands-on approach
• Confident working in a busy, high-volume retail environment
• Ambitious and keen to progress within retail management
