Assistant Manager – Cashel, Tipperary

Excel Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Manager for a busy and well-established grocery retail store in Cashel.

This is a great opportunity for a strong retail manager who enjoys being hands-on, leading a team and working in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Salary: €45,000

The Role:

• Support the Store Manager with the day-to-day running of the store
• Lead and motivate the team to deliver excellent customer service
• Manage stock, merchandising and availability across the shop floor
• Assist with staff rosters, training and team development
• Oversee opening and closing procedures
• Maintain high standards across customer service, merchandising and store presentation
• Ensure company procedures and health & safety standards are followed
• Take responsibility for the store in the Store Manager’s absence

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous management experience within grocery, convenience or high-volume retail
• Strong people management and leadership skills
• Commercially aware with a good understanding of retail operations
• Confident managing a busy shop floor and driving standards
• Organised, reliable and comfortable taking responsibility
• Looking for a long-term opportunity with further progression
