Assistant Manager – Bishopstown, Cork

Excel Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join a busy convenience store near Bishopstown, Cork.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Assistant Manager, Trainee Manager or experienced Supervisor who enjoys being hands-on, leading from the floor and supporting the day-to-day running of a busy retail operation.

Salary: €35,000 – €40,000

The Role:

• Support the Store Manager with the daily running of the store
• Lead, motivate and manage the team on shift
• Ensure excellent customer service and store standards
• Assist with stock control, ordering, deliveries and merchandising
• Support with rosters and staff management
• Ensure company procedures and operational standards are followed
• Take responsibility for the store in the Store Manager’s absence
• Drive a positive, hands-on working environment

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous management or supervisory experience within grocery, convenience, forecourt or high-volume retail
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Commercially aware and confident in a busy environment
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Hands-on management style
• Ambitious and keen to progress within retail management
