Assistant Manager – Belfast

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Assistant Manager to support the day-to-day operation of a quick-paced, high-volume retail environment in Belfast. This role offers the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, drive commercial performance, and help deliver an exceptional customer experience within a large-format retail environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Store Manager with the daily operation of a high-volume retail store
  • Lead, motivate and coach teams to deliver excellent customer service
  • Drive sales performance and achieve store and departmental targets
  • Ensure excellent standards of merchandising and store presentation
  • Monitor stock levels and support stock management processes
  • Manage operational challenges
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and employee development
  • Ensure health and safety and compliance standards are maintained
Skills and Requirements
  • Previous experience in an Assistant Manager, Duty Manager, or Team Leader role
  • Experience leading teams of 20+ people
  • Experience working within a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Commercial awareness with a track record of delivering results
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety and compliance standards
