Assistant Manager – Electrical Department – Cork

Our client is seeking an ambitious Assistant Manager experienced in the sales of white goods and household appliances in Cork. This role will focus on driving sales across a large electrical appliance department by leading from the front while motivating and developing a sales team.

This Assistant Manager opportunity is ideal for someone coming from electrical retail, homeware, DIY, consumer electronics, furniture, or other big-box retail environments who enjoys the management of people while leading a sales team from the front.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day management of a high-volume electrical department
• Lead, coach and motivate a team to achieve sales targets and KPIs
• Deliver exceptional customer service and product advice
• Drive sales across a range of home appliances and electrical goods
• Ensure excellent merchandising and presentation standards throughout the department
• Monitor stock levels and support inventory management processes
• Assist with staff training, development and performance management
• Work closely with senior management to maximise commercial opportunities

Skills and Requirements

• Previous experience in an Assistant Manager, Department Manager, Sales Manager role
• Strong sales background within a target-driven retail environment
• Experience selling electrical products, home appliances, homeware, furniture, DIY or similar products is highly desirable
• Excellent leadership and sales team development skills
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to drive results
• Driven, enthusiastic and focused on delivering an excellent customer experience throughout the entire purchasing journey.

Salary & Package

• Salary: €31,000 – €33,000 DOE
• Realistic OTE earnings of up to €50,000 per annum
• Uncapped Commission
• Paid Overtime
