At Excel Recruitment, we are currently seeking a Transport Coordinator to join an established business operating within the equine transport sector.

The Role

As Transport Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating transport movements across Ireland and Europe, including:

• Planning and managing daily transport schedules
• Coordinating collections, deliveries and travel arrangements
• Liaising directly with clients regarding bookings, timings and requirements
• Communicating with drivers throughout the day and responding to schedule changes
• Handling queries and resolving issues quickly and efficiently
• Keeping transport schedules, records and documentation accurate and up to date
• Ensuring customers receive a professional and reliable service throughout the booking process

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in transport, logistics, scheduling, coordination or a busy administrative environment
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to juggle changing priorities
• Confident communication and customer service skills
• A practical approach to problem-solving
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Experience or an interest in the equine industry would be a strong advantage

What’s on Offer

• Salary €35,000-€38,000 DOE
• Full-time, permanent position
• Fully office based in Co. Carlow
• Shared on-call rota – approximately one evening per week and one weekend every 4-5 weeks
