Excel Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Reach Forklift Driver to join a busy warehouse operation in Athenry, Galway. This role involves working within a freezer environment, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of stock while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety, and productivity.

This is a two week contract, with immediate start required.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and motivated forklift operator looking for stable daytime hours within a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Reach Forklift safely and efficiently within a freezer warehouse environment.
• Pick, move, load, and store stock accurately in designated locations.
• Complete daily warehouse duties including stock rotation and replenishment.
• Conduct routine forklift safety checks and report any defects immediately.
• Ensure all products are handled correctly to maintain quality standards.
• Follow warehouse procedures and health & safety regulations at all times.
• Assist with inventory counts and stock accuracy checks.
• Work closely with warehouse supervisors and team members to meet operational targets.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Requirements

• Valid Reach Forklift Licence (essential).
• Previous experience operating a Reach Truck within a warehouse setting.
• Experience working in temperature-controlled or freezer environments is advantageous.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible and dependable with a strong work ethic.
