Baker – Supermarket – Co. Limerick

Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting a Baker for our client’s supermarket in Co. Limerick. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced bakery professional with a strong background in bread baking to join a well-established retail business and become part of a high-performing fresh food team.

Salary: €18 – €20 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake a variety of fresh breads and bakery products to a high standard
• Ensure consistency in product quality, freshness, and presentation throughout the day
• Manage daily bakery production to meet customer demand and minimise waste
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering bakery ingredients and supplies
• Maintain excellent food safety, HACCP, and hygiene standards at all times
• Ensure the bakery area is clean, organised, and fully compliant with health & safety procedures
• Work closely with store management and fresh food teams to support daily operations
• Assist with developing and improving the bakery offering within the store

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Baker within a supermarket, bakery, or retail food environment
• Strong experience and knowledge of bread baking is essential
• Passion for fresh food and bakery production
• Good understanding of HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Flexible to work early morning and weekend shifts as required
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to maintain high standards consistently
