Join a Leading Fruit & Vegetable Distribution Company

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join a busy and growing fruit and vegetable distribution business. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of production, packing, refrigeration, and warehouse equipment to support the delivery of fresh produce to customers nationwide.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out preventative maintenance, fault finding, and repairs across the facility while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on production and warehouse equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Ensure all machinery and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
• Maintain refrigeration, packing line, and conveyor systems where required.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and provide effective solutions.
• Maintain maintenance records and complete all required documentation.
• Work closely with production and operations teams to optimise performance.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and food safety regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working within food production, FMCG, warehousing, or distribution environments is desirable.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise workloads effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Relevant trade qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, Multiskilled, or equivalent) preferred.
