Area Catering Manager
Excel Recruitment is seeking an experienced Area Catering Manager to support a busy contract catering operation across Dublin and Leinster.
This multi-site regional role is ideal for a hands-on hospitality, food-service or contract catering manager who enjoys leading teams, improving service standards, solving day-to-day operational challenges and building strong client relationships across a varied regional portfolio.

Responsibilities of the Area Catering Manager:
- Support the day-to-day management of multi-site catering operations across Dublin and Leinster
- Work closely with the Senior Management Team to deliver operational targets, service quality and commercial performance
- Build trusted relationships with clients, site contacts and internal stakeholders
- Visit sites regularly to support Unit Managers, review standards and resolve operational issues
- Coach, mentor and motivate catering teams to improve performance, engagement and consistency
- Support contract mobilisation, new openings and changes to service delivery
- Monitor compliance with food safety, HACCP, health and safety, quality and company standards
- Review KPIs, budgets, labour controls and operational reports to identify improvements
- Support recruitment, onboarding and training activity across the region
- Drive consistent food-service, customer experience and client satisfaction across all locations
Requirements for the Area Catering Manager:
- Previous experience in contract catering, hospitality, food-service, facilities management or a similar service environment
- Strong people management experience, ideally across multiple sites or a busy operational portfolio
- Confident leading, coaching and developing Unit Managers and frontline teams
- Strong client relationship skills and a professional, solutions-focused approach
- Good commercial awareness, with experience reviewing KPIs, budgets, labour and operational performance
- Knowledge of food safety, HACCP, health and safety and quality standards
- Excellent planning, communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and preparing clear operational updates
- Full clean driving licence and flexibility to travel regularly across Dublin and Leinster
- Experience supporting new openings, mobilisation projects or contract changes would be a strong advantage
