Inventory Administrator
Excel Recruitment is seeking an Inventory Administrator for our client who specialises in the distribution and supply of consumer fashion products. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented administrator looking to develop their career within a supportive, family-run business. The successful candidate will join a close-knit team in a busy office environment where collaboration and a strong work ethic are valued.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain product information within company systems.
- Raise purchase orders and process supplier documentation.
- Manage and update stock control records using Intact software.
- Liaise with factories and suppliers regarding orders and product information.
- Coordinate transport and shipping arrangements.
- Complete customs and import administration.
- Assist with stock valuation and duty cost calculations using established formulas.
- Process and maintain large volumes of product data accurately.
- Ensure inventory records are updated and maintained correctly.
- Support the wider team with general administrative duties as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ administration experience in an office environment.
- Good Excel skills with the ability to manage and update large data sets.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Methodical and accurate approach to work.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with suppliers and transport providers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Experience with stock control, purchasing, logistics, or supply chain administration would be advantageous.
- Access to own transport is desirable due to limited public transport links to the location.
