Catering Assistant – Dungarvan/Lismore Area

Excel Recruitment is seeking a dependable Catering Assistant to join our temporary team supporting busy catering operations across the Dungarvan/Lismore area. This role is ideal for candidates with strong full-time availability who can commit to full-day, Monday to Friday shifts when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Process till transactions and customer payments in an accurate, professional manner
• Provide friendly, efficient customer service throughout each shift
• Support food preparation, service set-up, and the upkeep of dining areas
• Maintain clean, organised, and hygienic workstations, equipment, and service areas
• Follow all food safety, HACCP, and health and safety procedures at all times
• Take responsibility for assigned tasks to help ensure service runs smoothly

Requirements

• Previous catering assistant experience or experience in a fast-paced food-service setting
• Comfortable operating tills and engaging with customers in a busy service environment
• Barista or coffee-making experience would be an advantage
• Able to work on your own initiative and manage assigned duties confidently
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
• HACCP and Manual Handling certification required (training can be facilitated)
• Reliable, punctual, and neatly presented for each shift
