Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting Kitchen Assistants, Catering Assistants, and Kitchen Porters for a variety of contract catering sites across Clonmel and the surrounding area. These positions offer flexible working hours and the opportunity to gain experience within busy healthcare, educational, industrial, and corporate catering environments.

Key Responsibilities

Catering Assistant Duties

• Assist with food preparation and service.
• Serve meals and beverages in a professional and friendly manner.
• Replenish food counters and dining areas.
• Ensure food presentation standards are maintained.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Follow all food safety and HACCP procedures.

Kitchen Porter Duties

• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and catering equipment.
• Dispose of waste and recycling correctly.
• Assist with deliveries and stock storage.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned and stored safely.
• Support chefs and kitchen staff as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in catering, hospitality, food service, or kitchen environments desirable.
• HACCP certification advantageous but not essential.
• Manual Handling certification desirable.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Flexible approach to working hours and shifts.
• Own transport beneficial for some client locations.
