Deputy Manager – Bix Box Retail

Are you an experienced retail leader looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a leading retailer in Ireland and the UK is seeking a driven and commercially focused Deputy Store Manager to support the successful operation of their Waterford store.

As Deputy Store Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Store Manager with all aspects of store performance, people management, customer service, and operational excellence. You will lead by example, motivate teams, and ensure the highest standards are consistently delivered.

Salary is 38K.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the store
• Drive sales performance and achieve commercial targets
• Lead, coach, and develop team members to maximise performance
• Ensure excellent customer service standards at all times
• Monitor stock levels, merchandising, and store presentation
• Manage rotas, staffing levels, and operational efficiencies
• Maintain health & safety and company compliance standards
• Assist with recruitment, training, and employee engagement initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years management experience ideally within a fast-paced big box retail setting or similar
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Commercial awareness with a proven ability to drive sales
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Customer-focused mindset with a passion for retail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment
