Catering Assistant – Limerick

Excel Recruitment is seeking a reliable Catering Assistant to join our temporary team supporting busy catering operations across Limerick. This role is ideal for candidates with strong full-time availability who can commit to full-day, Monday to Friday shifts when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle till transactions and customer payments accurately and professionally
• Deliver friendly, efficient service to customers throughout each shift
• Assist with food preparation, service set-up, and maintaining dining areas
• Keep workstations, equipment, and service areas clean, organised, and hygienic
• Follow all food safety, HACCP, and health and safety procedures at all times

• Take ownership of assigned duties to ensure service runs smoothly

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Catering Assistant or within a busy food-service environment
• Must have strong full-time availability for full-day weekday shifts, not just evenings or weekends
• Confidence using tills and dealing with customers
• Barista or coffee-making experience an advantage
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards
• HACCP and Manual Handling certification required (training can be facilitated)
• Reliable, punctual, and professionally presented
