Electrical Contracts Manager

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager for a full-time, permanent position on behalf of our client located in South Dublin. This role offers a competitive basic salary ranging from €90,000 to €100,000, along with additional benefits including a bonus and pension scheme.

Key Responsibilities

• Taking over projects post-procurement and ensuring smooth transitions into the construction phase.
• Overseeing equipment submittals, ensuring that the most economical options are approved before site commencement.
• Reviewing all construction issue drawings, measuring items for orders such as trays, trunking, and lighting.
• Liaising with the AutoCAD operative to mark up builder’s work drawings, service runs, containment runs, and coordinated services drawings.
• Working closely with the Site Manager regarding project programme, quality of installation, and resource allocation on site.
• Handling all correspondence with the main contractor via email, ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Attending regular site meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions.
• Submitting all Requests for Information (RFIs), variations, and valuations regularly to maintain project flow.
• Ensuring that all variations to tender drawings are communicated to the Main Contractor promptly.
• Ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget, maintaining profitability.
• Collaborating with the surveying department to prepare tenders for upcoming projects.
• Carrying out any additional responsibilities as assigned by the Organisation.

Ideal Electrical Contracts Manager will have:

• An electrical trade background is essential.
• Proven experience in managing commercial electrical projects.
• Strong understanding of contracts, variations, and project finances.
