Baker – Supermarket – Co. Galway

Excel Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a Baker on behalf of our client’s supermarket in Co. Galway. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced baker to join a busy and well-established retail food team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality baked goods daily while maintaining excellent standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.

Salary: €32k – €38k

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake a range of breads, pastries, cakes, and confectionery products to a consistently high standard
• Ensure all products are produced in line with company recipes, specifications, and quality standards
• Manage daily production schedules to meet customer demand while minimising waste
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering ingredients and supplies
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, and health and safety regulations
• Support the development of new bakery products and seasonal offerings
• Work collaboratively with the wider store team to ensure an excellent customer experience

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Baker in a supermarket, bakery, café, or food production environment
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and production processes
• HACCP knowledge and excellent food safety practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• A high level of attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Flexible approach to working hours, including early morning shifts where required
