Catering Assistant – Newcastle West

Excel Recruitment is currently looking for reliable Catering Assistants to join our team in Newcastle West. This role is ideal for candidates who are based locally or can reliably commute to Newcastle West for shifts.

We are looking for hardworking and flexible people who can support busy catering and hospitality teams with food service, kitchen duties, cleaning, and general day-to-day support.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and service
• Support kitchen and catering teams during busy periods
• Keep work areas clean, organised, and tidy
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards
• Provide friendly and professional service to customers, residents, or staff where required
• Complete general cleaning and wash-up duties as needed

Requirements for Catering Assistants

• Previous catering, kitchen, hospitality, or food service experience is desirable
• Must be based in Newcastle West or able to reliably commute there
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility for shifts
• Manual Handling and HACCP training (training can be facilitated)
