Butcher – Athy, Co. Kildare

We are currently seeking an experienced Butcher to join a well-established food retail business in Athy.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and skilled butcher who takes pride in quality products, exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards.

Salary: €14.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cut, and present fresh meat products to the highest standards
• Deliver excellent customer service and product knowledge
• Ensure attractive merchandising and product presentation
• Maintain quality, freshness, and stock rotation standards
• Always follow HACCP and food safety procedures
• Assist with stock control and ordering
• Minimise waste and support department profitability

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous butchery experience is essential
• Strong knife skills and meat preparation knowledge
• Passion for fresh food and customer service
• Good understanding of HACCP and food safety requirements
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
• Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented
