Requirements

• Previous experience as a Chef in a hospital, nursing home, healthcare, or high-volume catering environment
• Full professional chef qualifications or equivalent kitchen experience
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety standards, and allergen procedures
• Ability to prepare nutritious, well-presented meals in line with patient and resident dietary needs
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with kitchen teams, healthcare staff, and management
• A calm, reliable, and organised approach in a busy kitchen environment
• Flexibility to work daytime shifts and occasional weekends when required

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality meals in line with hospital or healthcare facility standards
• Follow all dietary, texture-modified, allergen, and nutritional requirements accurately
• Maintain excellent food hygiene, personal hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness standards
• Work efficiently as part of a professional kitchen team while meeting service deadlines
• Support stock rotation, waste control, and cost-conscious kitchen practices
• Comply with HACCP procedures, food safety legislation, and internal kitchen policies
• Build positive working relationships with colleagues, healthcare teams, and support staff
