Wholesale Merchandising & Buying Executive

My client, an innovative and expanding apparel company, is seeking a Wholesale Merchandising & Buying Executive to support the development and execution of their wholesale business. This role will focus on assortment planning, trading analysis, and supporting wholesale partners to deliver strong commercial results. Based in North Dublin with hybrid working, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-growth brand and contribute to the expansion of their wholesale channel.

Responsibilities of this Wholesale Merchandising & Buying Executive role include:

  • Support the development of account-specific assortments by season, channel, and territory.
  • Assist with SKU planning including colour options, size curves, and assortment depth per wholesale account.
  • Support pricing alignment, margin checks, and intake planning in collaboration with merchandising teams.
  • Support research into new wholesale partners, territories, and distribution opportunities.
  • Assist in preparing presentations, pitches, and tailored product proposals for new partners.
  • Analyse sell-through performance, stock levels, and wholesale account trading performance.
  • Prepare reports to support replenishment decisions, repeat buys, and seasonal planning.
  • Assist with trading updates, seasonal reviews, and performance tracking.
  • Work closely with product and design teams to ensure ranges translate commercially for wholesale.
  • Act as a coordination point between internal teams and wholesale partners.

Requirements for this Wholesale Merchandising & Buying Executive role include:

  • 2-4 years’ experience in wholesale, buying, merchandising, or commercial support within the apparel industry.
  • Strong Excel skills, including experience with buy sheets, margin calculations, and sales analysis.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of wholesale trading dynamics.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams.
  • Experience within apparel, athleisure, or lifestyle brands is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to wholesale accounts or buying environments is beneficial.
  • Experience supporting assortment planning or range development is an advantage.
