Trainee Manager – Cork

Excel Recruitment is currently seeking a Trainee Manager for our client, a well-known grocery retail store with locations in Bishopstown and Fermoy

A competitive salary package of €27,000 – €30,000 is on offer for the right candidate.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Senior Sales Assistant, Supervisor or Duty Manager to join a thriving grocery store known for investing in its people. The ideal candidate will have a passion for driving sales, excellent communication skills and a tenacious work ethic.

The responsibilities of a Trainee Manager include:

• Using Appraisals, Training and Development Promotion to develop members of staff and the management team
• Knowing in-depth all legislation as it relates to the store, particularly Employment Legislation, Health and Safety regulations etc.
• Managing and co-ordinating in-store and national promotions
• Using reports and information to improve operations and efficiency in-store

Who you are:

• You will have previous experience in retail, in a supervisory capacity
• Grocery retail experience is an advantage
• You will be an ambitious person with motivation to succeed in driving yourself and your business category forward
• A people person with excellent communication and team working skills
• A proven track record in fulfilling KPIs and targets, and improving in-store sales and standards
