Team Leader – Supermarket – Dublin South

Excel Recruitment is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our client’s supermarket in south Dublin. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the store, providing excellent customer service, and leading a dedicated team.

Salary: €34k – €35k

Responsibilities:

• Lead, supervise, and motivate store staff to achieve performance targets and maintain high levels of productivity
• Supervise and motivate staff on shift, ensuring high standards of service and presentation
• Lead by example to deliver excellent customer service at all times
• Assist with staff training, coaching, and performance support
• Ensure strong merchandising, stock availability, and store presentation
• Support cash handling, tills, and store opening/closing procedures
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety, and company policies
• Handle customer queries and resolve issues efficiently and professionally
• Assist with achieving sales targets and store KPIs

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Team Leader, Supervisor, or Senior Sales Assistant in a supermarket, grocery, or retail environment
• Strong communication and people skills with a positive, hands-on approach
• Ability to lead by example and support a team in a busy environment
• Customer-focused with a strong understanding of retail standards
• Organised, reliable, and able to work on your own initiative
• Flexible to work across store trading hours, including weekends
