Support Pharmacist

Excel Healthcare Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join a growing and well-established Irish-owned community pharmacy group with multiple locations across Limerick and the surrounding area.

Duties:

  • Ensure the pharmacy operates in accordance with PSI, HSE, legislative, and professional standards.
  • Oversee the safe and accurate preparation, dispensing, and supply of medicines.
  • Provide professional consultations, medication reviews, and patient counselling services.
  • Monitor dispensing accuracy, identify risks, and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Promote patient safety and positive health outcomes through excellent customer care.
  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of the dispensary and wider pharmacy operations.
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Support the introduction of new services, technologies, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) and eligibility to practise as a Pharmacist in Ireland.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy legislation, PSI requirements, and professional standards.
  • Experience using pharmacy dispensing systems, preferably MPS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to patient safety and dispensing accuracy.
  • A proactive and patient-focused approach to care.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
