Supermarket Store Manager – Dublin City

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong retail leader with proven experience managing a high-volume supermarket, driving sales performance, developing successful teams and delivering exceptional standards across fresh food departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management and commercial performance of a busy supermarket.
• Lead, motivate and develop a large team of managers, supervisors and store colleagues.
• Drive sales, profitability, margins and overall store KPIs.
• Maintain exceptional standards across fresh food, deli, bakery, produce and grocery departments.
• Manage labour budgets, stock control, shrinkage, waste and operational costs.
• Identify commercial opportunities to maximise sales and improve profitability.
• Ensure excellent customer service and consistently high store standards.
• Develop and implement effective operational plans to support business growth.
• Recruit, train and develop a high-performing management team.
• Ensure full compliance with food safety, HACCP, health and safety and company procedures.

Ideal Candidate

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in grocery retail management, ideally at Store Manager or General Manager level.
• Essential experience managing a high-turnover, high-volume supermarket.
• Strong fresh food experience is essential, with a solid understanding of fresh food operations, standards, margins and waste management.
• Proven ability to manage large teams in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing sales, budgets, labour costs and profitability.
• Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and improving store performance.
• Excellent leadership, communication and people-development skills.
• Highly organised, hands-on and comfortable making commercial decisions.
• Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and operational excellence.
