Store Refit & Visual Merchandiser – Nationwide

Our client, one of the largest Hardware, DIY and Home retail chains is seeking to recruit a creative Refit & Visual Merchandiser to join the Area Refit and Merchandising team.

This job requires nationwide flexibility, a full driver’s licence, and use of your own car (you will receive mileage allowance).

Candidate can live anywhere in Republic of Ireland as stores are all over the country.

With stores nationwide, the job of Visual merchandiser includes travelling across the country as a team, carrying out refits and setting up new stores, working with shelving, fixtures and fittings, setting up the departments, placing the stock and signage, and visual merchandising.

Depending how far the store is you may have to do overnights (paid for) which involves arriving to your store Monday morning and returning home Friday afternoon.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week and no late nights or weekends.

The ideal candidate will have strong visual merchandising, commercial and planning skills with excellent communications skills and attention to detail.

The candidate must be ok with the physical element of lifting and moving fixtures, fittings, shelves, boxes, and large volumes of stock and also be comfortable with travel and overnight stays.

Salary & Package:

• Salary €40k-€45k negotiable but must reflect level of experience
• Mileage allowance
• Bonus up to 10% paid yearly
• Lunch and accommodation expense’s when required

Responsibilities for the job of DIY Merchandiser:

• Executing of new fit outs across a variety of stores nationwide
• Ensuring all planograms are implemented across the stores, department, and categories
• As part of a team, ensuring all projects are delivered in accordance with plan
• Deliver excellence across the stores merchandising
• Ensure all stock and product placement is in order, priced and with correct POS
• Ensuring all fixtures and fittings are erected safely and securely and in correct space plan
• Implementing company merchandising guidelines

Skills and experience required for the job of Store Refit & Visual Merchandiser:

• Merchandising experience in high volume retailing
• Possess excellent In-store Visual Merchandising skills and be able to maintain the highest of standards
• Produce quality work with attention to detail, in a consistent, timely and organised manner
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in working off planograms and company guidelines
• Full clean drivers licence.
• Energetic, enthusiastic with a can-do positive attitude
• Comfortable with nationwide travel
