Excel Recruitment are currently recruiting full time Sous Chef on behalf of our client, a leading contract catering company, for a new opening prestigious site in Dublin City Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced chef looking for work-life balance in an upmarket unit. Salary is up to €40k per year, depending on experience.

This job is a full-time, permanent role offering a stable Monday to Friday schedule with daytime hours. Located in Dublin City Centre, the site is easily accessible by public transport. This site boasts a modern and landscaped penthouse hospitality suite. Successful candidate will be working in a professional, fast-paced kitchen serving high-quality meals to corporate clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, have a keen eye for consistency, be highly organised, and passionate about food and service

Sous Chef responsibilities:

Support the Head Chef in the daily operation of the kitchen

Be involved in the running of hospitality events and hospitality floor

Prepare and present food to high standards while maintaining consistency at a high level

Ensure all HACCP and food safety procedures are followed

Assist in menu planning and stock control

Supervise and mentor junior kitchen staff

Sous Chef requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Sous Chef

Previous experience in contract catering with hospitality level or hospitality in high end restaurant or 4* hotel

HACCP certified and up to date with all relevant food safety standards

Strong communication and leadership skills

Positive attitude and strong work ethic
