Senior Department Manager

Our client an iconic store in Dublin is seeking an experienced retail manager. Known for their beautiful premium and high end brands across fashion, accessories and cosmetics this is a wonderful opportunity for a KPI driven people manager who has excellent communication skills and a commercial mindset – with a love for retail!

As a Department Manager, you will lead a team of 20-30, drive performance to meet KPI’s and sales targets, and ensure exceptional customer service throughout the store.

Qualifications/skills required for this Department Manager:

• Senior fashion/accessory management experience is essential.
• Proven experience managing teams of 15+.
• Strong leadership and people management experience.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Exposure to P&L reporting and KPI driven.
• Genuine love and interest in fashion brands and retail.

Key Responsibilities for this Department Manager:

• Communicate sales targets on a weekly and monthly basis to relevant departments and managers.
• Ensure commercial and operational standards are delivered at all times and in line with company plan
• Monitor product lines and proactively pursue sales strategies to reach KPI’s
• Build a safe space for team members to be heard to discuss issues and brainstorm ways to improve the workplace and department profitability
• Work closely with buying teams and senior leadership team on product success.
• Be proactive in identifying new business opportunities, through floor space, visual merchandising, product placement, knowledge, and trends.
