Security & Stock Loss Prevention Manager-Warehousing & Logistics

My client is a well-established warehouse and logistics business, specialising in the storage, distribution, and transportation of Fast Moving Consumer Goods.

Based out of the head office in Ashbourne, they have ten warehouse locations, the majority close by and the rest in North Dublin.

As Loss Prevention Manager you will be responsible for developing, implementing, training, and monitoring of all stock loss and security policies and procedures.

This is new position, therefore a really fantastic opportunity for someone to make this role their own.

As Stock Loss Manager you will be very hands on and flexible to go to sites and work with warehouse managers and their teams to implement these procedures from the warehouse and right through to delivery at retail outlets and other depots.

Ideally the candidate will come from and have an excellent understanding of a warehouse and logistics environment.

Salary & Package: €65k-€75k negotiable but must reflect experience, Vehicle, Bonus, Pension, Life Assurance, Healthcare

• Understanding of inventory management processes and loss prevention strategies.
• Experience conducting personnel and vehicle searches as part of security protocols.
• Ability to develop and implement policies across multiple locations.
• Strong knowledge of security procedures and risk management.
• High level of commercial awareness and understanding of operational security risks.

Responsibilities of the Security & Stock Loss Prevention Manager-Warehousing & Logistics

• Policy Development & Enforcement: Develop, implement, and enforce standardised loss prevention policies and procedures across all operational sites.
• Auditing & Compliance: Conduct routine audits across multiple FMCG warehousing locations to ensure inventory is processed, managed, and tracked in accordance with company standards.
• Stock Discrepancy Investigation: Investigate inventory discrepancies and incidents of shrinkage; develop and implement corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
• Security Checks: Conduct physical searches of personnel, their belongings, and vehicles where necessary to deter theft and enhance site security.
• Incident Investigation: Work alongside the QHSE team in investigating workplace incidents, accidents, and claims, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• CCTV Analysis: Review and download relevant CCTV footage to support investigations into theft, vandalism, and other security breaches.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with external partners-including security firms, alarm system providers, insurance companies, and law enforcement-as well as internal teams to maintain a secure operational environment.
• Security System Management: Monitor and manage alarm activations, access control reports, and the issuance and deactivation of security codes.
• Training & Education: Develop and deliver comprehensive security and risk prevention training programmes for all new managers and relevant staff.
• Stock Control: Oversee and coordinate stock takes across all warehouse locations, compiling data to produce detailed variance and shrinkage reports.
