Retail Team Leader

With stores across the country and known for their large selection in Agri, home, DIY, and garden departments, our client is seeking an experienced Team Leader to join their large store in East Cork.

As Team Leader, you will proactively support the Branch Manager in day-to-day operations of the overall site in order to deliver upon agreed objectives.

The ideal candidate will have previous non-food/grocery retail management experience coupled with the ability to lead a team in a busy and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities of this job:

• Delivering an excellent customer experience
• Controlling and analysing sales performance against budget so that store targets and KPI’s are met and exceeded
• Delivering excellent store standards
• Effectively leading your team through motivation, training, and coaching
• Identifying commercial opportunities
• Following health and safety regulations and ensuring compliance whilst maintaining excellent operational standards

Skills and experience required for this job:

• 2+ years of management/supervisory experience in grocery/non-food retail
• Previous experience in DIY/Agri/home/garden advantageous
• A proven track record of delivering an excellent customer experience
• Strong commercial awareness
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-moving environment

Salary package:

• €15 per hour
• 39-hour week
• Premium pay for Sundays/Bank Holidays
• Pension scheme
