Retail Sales Assistant – Electrical Goods/Home Appliances

My retail client in Clonakilty is expanding their Electrical Goods department and product offering so this is a really nice time to join the business.

Salary is €35k, negotiable but must reflect experience, €2k Bonus, 10% Staff Discount.

Store is open Monday to Friday 8.30-5.30 and Saturday 8.30-5.

This is a fantastic opportunity for any retail consultant who comes from a consultative retail environment; for example, this could be furniture, homewares, fashion, kitchens, electrical goods.

As Retail Sales Associate you must demonstrate a passion for sales whilst providing exceptional customer service.

You will engage with customers to understand their individual needs, providing expert guidance and inspiration as you lead them through a personalised shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities for the job of Retail Sales Assistant – Electrical Goods/Home Appliances

• Provide excellent customer service and offer expert product advice on electrical goods and home appliances.
• Assist customers in selecting products that best meet their needs, budget, and lifestyle requirements.
• Demonstrate product features, benefits, and functionality to customers.
• Achieve individual and team sales targets through proactive selling and upselling opportunities.
• Maintain strong product knowledge across a wide range of appliances.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Handle customer enquiries, returns, exchanges, and after-sales support in a professional manner.
• Ensure the department is well-stocked, organised, and visually appealing at all times.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control, stock replenishment, and stocktakes.
• Keep up to date with new product launches, promotions, and industry trends.
• Assist with merchandising displays and promotional campaigns to maximise sales opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty.
