Retail Sales Assistant – DIY/Homeware/Hardware

My client a builder providers, hardware, DIY, and homeware business is opening up a new store in Abbeyleix, Laois

They are looking for bubbly and service focused Sales Assistant to work across the shop floor

This is a fantastic opportunity for any retail consultant who comes from a consultative retail environment; for example, this could be furniture, homewares, fashion, kitchens, electrical goods.

Salary & Benefits: €35k-€45k, negotiable must reflect experience, Generous Staff Discount, No Sundays and with some Saturdays off.

As a Retail Sales Associate, you will combine a passion for sales with exceptional customer service.

You will identify each customer’s needs and offer expert advice and inspiration throughout a personalised shopping experience.

Responsibilities for the job of Retail Sales Assistant:

• Welcome customers and take time to understand their individual requirements before recommending suitable products.
• Provide a consultative sales approach, asking the right questions and offering solutions based on the customer’s needs.
• Build strong relationships with customers, delivering a professional and knowledgeable service throughout the buying process.
• Develop a strong understanding of the product range to confidently explain features, benefits, and different options available.
• Recommend additional or complementary products where appropriate to provide the customer with a complete solution.
• Support customers with product comparisons and help them make informed purchasing decisions.
• Liaise with colleagues, suppliers and other departments regarding stock availability, orders, and customer requirements.
• Deal with customer queries or issues efficiently and professionally.
• Ensure displays and product areas are well presented, stocked, and commercially focused.
• Identify opportunities to generate repeat business and build long-term customer relationships.
