Retail Duty Manager – Galway

Our client, a large international company is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to join their team in Galway. It is a great opportunity to join a well-respected international retail chain and gain Big Box retail experience.

If you have experience working in a fast paced, high-volume environment and a grocery, DIY, homeware, fashion or discount retail background, this could be the job for you.

Key Responsibilities of the Duty Manager job

• Support the Store Manager with the daily operation of a high-volume retail store
• Lead, motivate and coach teams to deliver excellent customer service
• Drive sales performance and achieve store and departmental targets
• Ensure excellent standards of merchandising and store presentation
• Monitor stock levels and support stock management processes
• Manage operational challenges
• Support recruitment, onboarding and employee development
• Ensure health and safety and compliance standards are maintained

Skills and Requirements of the Duty Manager job

• Previous experience in an Assistant Manager, Duty Manager, Department Manager, or Team Leader role
• Experience working within a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Commercial awareness with a track record of delivering results
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety and compliance standards
