Excel Recruitment are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager for a flagship Restaurant and Bar in Co Laois.

The successful candidate will be at the heart of the establishment and will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of the restaurant by overseeing daily operations and providing leadership to their dedicated team.

Requirements of the Restaurant Manager

• Previous experience in restaurant management, preferably in a high-volume establishment.
• Passion for hospitality and dedication to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Sound knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management and cost control.
• Time management and organisational skills.
• Willing to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends.
• Valid work permit.

Responsibilities of the Restaurant Manager

• Ensuring the highest level of food quality, presentation, consistency, and customer service is delivered to guests.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop seasonal menus and special offerings.
• Training and mentoring of staff, continuing a culture of continuous improvement and upskilling.
• Help plan external and internal marketing and sales promotion activities.
• Drawing up staff rosters within the allocated budget.
• Ensuring the highest hygiene standards and compliance of HACCP are maintained and documentation recorded.
• Ordering and sourcing of produce and stock.
• Management of costs efficiently in achieving target GP.
• Cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation.
