Restaurant Manager

Negotiable Hotel & Catering Galway

Are you an experienced Restaurant Manager looking to progress your career within the Hospitality Industry? We now have an excellent opportunity available within a 4* hotel based in Galway. You will be required to manage food and beverage operations within the restaurant & ensure quality service and standards while delivering a unique guest experience.

Responsibilities as a Restaurant Manager:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Food & Beverage service standards, quality presentation, beverage products, health & safety, and sanitation standards
  • Strong knowledge of beverages, beverage control, and revenue maximization
  • Strong knowledge of food menu items, preparation, and presentation
  • Ability to lead and develop a team of full-time and part-time employees
  • Ensure that all employees are familiar with all products on offer
  • Demonstrate assertiveness to instruct, firmly represent organisational standards and goals, or discipline as necessary
  • To write the procedures for the SOP manual pertaining to service standards
  • To assist in the setting up and implementation of training records
  • Create an environment where employees can take responsibility and authority for their work and development
  • Actively participate in Food & Beverage briefings when required & present suggestions for improvements at Food & Beverage Meetings
  • Conduct a briefing at the beginning of every shift
  • Actively monitor the hotel’s communication channels and share this knowledge with the team when necessary

Requirements as a Restaurant Manager:

  • A minimum of 2 Years’ experience as a Restaurant Manager in a busy hotel
  • Previous management experience in a large property
  • Ability to work under pressure and motivate a team
  • Strong commercial knowledge in all aspects of the business
  • Outgoing with a passion for excellent customer service and an aptitude for attention to detail
