Excel Healthcare Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician to join a well-established community pharmacy in Greystones, Wicklow.

Role Overview:

The Pharmacy Technician will support the safe and efficient operation of the dispensary while delivering a high standard of patient care and customer service. The successful candidate will play a key role in the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions, stock management, and maintaining compliance with pharmacy procedures and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately prepare and dispense prescriptions in line with pharmacy procedures
  • Maintain prescription records and support monthly HSE PCRS claim submissions
  • Provide professional over-the-counter advice and support to patients and customers
  • Deliver excellent customer service and build strong relationships with patients
  • Manage dispensary stock, including ordering, rotation, expiry date checks, and stock control
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations, policies, and standard operating procedures
  • Support the smooth day-to-day running of the dispensary
  • Participate in training, professional development, and team initiatives
  • Contribute ideas and support continuous improvement within the pharmacy

Essential Requirements:

  • IPU Pharmacy Technician Course or Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Organised and capable of managing multiple priorities in a busy pharmacy environment
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and customer service
