We’re working with a truly special luxury destination hotel in Cavan, a property full of character, history, and that unmistakable old Irish charm. Set against a stunning backdrop, this is a hotel where guest experience sits at the heart of everything they do.
They are now looking for an experienced Operations Manager to step into a key leadership role, working directly with the General Manager and playing a hands-on part in shaping the day-to-day success of the property.

This is not a behind-the-scenes role – this is for someone who loves being on the floor, leading from the front, and setting the tone for the entire guest experience.
You’ll take ownership of the full hotel operation, ensuring every department is aligned, every guest interaction feels personal, and every standard reflects the quality expected in a luxury destination property.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Taking full responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the hotel across all departments
- Reporting directly to the General Manager, supporting overall performance, strategy, and guest experience
- Driving a culture of excellence, where every team member understands the importance of delivering a standout guest journey
- Leading, motivating, and developing department heads and their teams
- Being highly visible across the property, ensuring standards are consistently delivered and exceeded
- Supporting all departments as needed, creating a strong, collaborative team environment
- Managing budgets, labour costs, and operational spend with a strong focus on cost efficiency
- Monitoring performance and KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and growth
- Overseeing weddings, events, and functions – ensuring they are delivered seamlessly and to the highest standard
What They’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a similar Operations Manager role within a luxury or destination hotel in Ireland
- A strong understanding of the Irish market and the level of service expected in a high-end property
- A natural leader who leads from the floor and brings energy and direction to the team
- Someone who genuinely thrives on delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Commercially aware, with solid experience managing budgets and driving efficiencies
- Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable stepping into any department when needed
- Strong communicator with the ability to build a positive, driven team culture
