The Role

An established logistics business is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, lead a team and ensure efficient, cost-effective service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day freight and transport operations, including import and export activities.
• Lead, support and develop the operations team, ensuring high standards of service and performance.
• Coordinate with customers, carriers and service providers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve issues.
• Oversee shipping documentation and ensure compliance with relevant transport and customs regulations.
• Monitor operational costs, performance and profitability, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Build strong customer and supplier relationships and support the introduction of new business.
• Drive continuous improvement across operational processes and service delivery.

Requirements

• Experience in road freight, transport operations or freight forwarding.
• Minimum two years’ management or supervisory experience.
• Good understanding of import/export processes and customs procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Commercial awareness and experience monitoring operational performance and costs.
• Deep-sea freight (FCL/LCL) or air freight experience would be an advantage.

What’s on Offer?

• Salary of €50,000-€55,000, depending on experience.
