Excel Recruitment is seeking a Merchandiser for our client who specialises in the office supplies and print services industry. This is a permanent, full-time Monday to Friday position with a strong focus on merchandising, stock management and delivering an excellent customer experience. The successful candidate will manage customer stock levels, merchandise products at customer locations and ensure each site is kept organised and well presented. The role would suit someone who enjoys working directly with customers and takes pride in providing a reliable, professional service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and merchandise products at customer locations, ensuring stock and storage areas are clean, organised and clearly labelled.
• Manage agreed minimum and maximum stock levels across customer sites.
• Complete regular stock checks and identify products requiring replenishment.
• Raise replenishment orders and check incoming stock for accuracy.
• Identify and report shortages, damaged stock or discrepancies promptly.
• Provide a consistently high standard of customer service, building positive relationships with customers.
• Deal professionally with customer queries and help resolve issues efficiently.
• Monitor customer requirements and provide feedback that could improve service levels.
• Communicate effectively with the dispatch team and other departments to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Complete deliveries accurately, including appropriate proof-of-delivery documentation.
• Organise daily routes efficiently and ensure orders are checked before leaving for delivery.
• Maintain professional and respectful communication with customers and colleagues.
• Use internal systems, including Microsoft Teams and Outlook, to communicate and manage daily activities.
• Follow all relevant health and safety requirements and complete daily vehicle checks.

Requirements

• 2 years’ experience in merchandising, delivery, dispatch or a similar customer-facing role.
• Full clean driver’s licence.
• Previous experience with merchandising, stock replenishment or inventory management is essential.
• Reliable, proactive and comfortable taking responsibility for customer stock requirements.
• Comfortable working independently in a busy, fast-paced environment.
