Kitchen Porter, Full-Time | Permanent South Dublin

A well-established and highly regarded private members’ golf and sports club in South Dublin is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join its busy Food & Beverage team on a full-time permanent basis.

Set within a prestigious sporting and hospitality environment, the property offers high-quality dining experiences for members, guests, corporate events, and special occasions throughout the year. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality setting and takes pride in maintaining high standards.

As an integral member of the kitchen team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen by maintaining exceptional cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene standards at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout all kitchen, wash-up, storage, and food preparation areas.
• Operate dishwashing equipment and ensure all crockery, cutlery, cookware, and kitchen utensils are cleaned, sanitised, and stored correctly.
• Support the kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks as required.
• Receive, unpack, and organise deliveries while ensuring stock is stored safely and appropriately.
• Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with company procedures and food safety standards.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.
• Ensure all cleaning schedules are completed accurately and consistently.
• Adhere to all HACCP, food safety, health and safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Work collaboratively with chefs and the wider Food & Beverage team to support efficient service delivery.
• Undertake any additional duties required to support the smooth operation of the kitchen.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Kitchen Porter, Catering Assistant, or similar hospitality role is desirable but not essential.
• A strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and contribute positively to the team.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional in approach.
• Physically capable of carrying out manual handling tasks and standing for extended periods.
• A flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns.
• Availability to work 5 days over 7, including evenings, weekends, public holidays, and peak seasonal periods throughout the year.

Important Availability Requirement

Please note: This is a full-time permanent position within a year-round hospitality operation. The successful candidate must have full flexibility to work a rotating schedule that includes evenings and weekends on a regular basis.

As a result, this role is unlikely to be suitable for individuals with school, college, or other ongoing commitments that may restrict their availability to meet the operational requirements of the position.
