Kitchen Porter – Mallow

We are currently recruiting a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to support busy kitchen operations in Mallow on a ongoing basis. This role is suited to someone who is hands-on, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high hygiene and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment thoroughly

• Keep kitchen, back-of-house, and wash-up areas clean, tidy, and organised

• Support chefs and catering teams with basic preparation and service duties where required

• Dispose of waste correctly and follow recycling procedures

• Adhere to all food safety, HACCP, and health & safety procedures

• Work efficiently as part of a busy kitchen team to keep service running smoothly

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter, Catering Assistant, or in a busy kitchen environment is an advantage

• Strong attention to cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting

• Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards

• HACCP and Manual Handling certification required (training can be facilitated)

• Reliable, punctual, and professionally presented

• Flexibility to take on temporary and short-term shifts across Cork
