Junior Buyer

Our client, a well-established business within the Irish retail sector, is seeking a motivated and commercially minded Junior Buyer to join their team in North Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a career in buying, gaining experience across product sourcing, supplier management, stock planning and category performance within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities of this Junior Buyer include:

• Support product sourcing, selection and range development.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, availability and deliveries.
• Assist with purchase orders, stock management and replenishment.
• Monitor sales performance, stock levels and product trends.
• Conduct competitor and market research to identify opportunities.
• Support pricing decisions to maintain competitive margins.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure product availability.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and product records.

Requirements for this Junior Buyer include:

• Previous experience in buying, purchasing or retail is desirable.
• Strong commercial awareness and interest in product development.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
