Horticulturist

My client is currently seeking a Horticulturist with a well-established retail business. This role will support the development, presentation, and maintenance of the Practical Gardening category across stores.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for horticulture who enjoys working closely with suppliers, growers, and store teams to deliver high-quality seasonal ranges in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities of this Horticulturist job include:

• Supporting the planning and execution of seasonal gardening initiatives across stores
• Coordinating seasonal campaigns and ensuring strong in-store presentation of horticultural products
• Monitoring stock levels to ensure availability of core and seasonal plant ranges
• Working closely with suppliers and growers across Ireland and Europe to ensure quality and availability of products
• Assisting with seasonal planning for seeds, bulbs, plants, and related gardening ranges
• Ensuring high standards of plant care, handling, and merchandising across locations
• Maintaining accurate product information and supporting store teams with horticultural knowledge

Requirements of this Horticulturist job include:

• Strong knowledge of horticulture, gardening products, or seasonal plant ranges
• Previous experience in horticulture, garden retail, or a similar environment
• Passion for plants and a strong understanding of plant care and seasonal cycles
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Attention to detail and a hands-on approach
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
